Wayside Winds

Salon 21 is proud to welcome Wayside Winds to the "stage." Annie Gordon on flute, Austin Smith on oboe, Laura Sabo on clarinet, Emily Toth on horn, Danielle Batchelder on bassoon, join Salon 21 Artistic Director, Jill Jantzen, on piano.

The night's music will feature the Sextet for Winds and Piano by Francis Poulenc. At the premiere of this work, critics designated it as "wandering and vulgar." After extensive revision, Poulenc's Sextet now stands as an iconic piece for this type of ensemble. What will be your takeaway?

Shifting Conversations

Salon 21 is proud to present Shifting Conversations featuring Rebecca Culnan on violin and Artistic Director, Jill Jantzen, on piano. This concert explores the duality of the violin and the piano. Each instrument has the ability to exist unaccompanied, yet the two can be paired together as the artists engage in an unspoken conversation.

The evening's dialogue will highlight the beloved Violin Sonata in G Major for Violin and Piano, No. 1 Op. 78, by Johannes Brahms.
